I've just started to encounter a problem where I can receive e-mails, but cannot sent.
I'm using Microsoft Outlook and have tried the following:
changing my log in password
deleting the account and recreating it with the correct settings and username / password in Outlook
I can use webmail fine and my e-mail on my iPad.
Subdomain e-mails work fine.
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can use Yahoo mail on my iPad, just not Outlook on my PC...?
We're having the same problem intermittently using outlook (as part of Office) for e-mail.
The system will receive mails but when trying to send from the outbox the system gets into a loop of requesting login details.
As far as I'm aware nothing has changed with the Outlook settings on this machine.
