Agreed with the above. I actually downloaded Fortnite because I heard it had good servers and an accurate ping tracker and is free.
Its ping graph when I was having the issues was all over the shop, now it's settled and I can get back to losing at Rocket League
Little update from me guys.
Sent my trace routes off last night and today the liason officer got back to me and told me I am indeed suffering from the same problems the majority of people are here.
My situation is apparently a little more difficult because my network uses different 'equipment' to most people on this thread.
I'm really hoping they can find a fix - I believe there is one because for years and years I never had this problem and netflix and other video streaming platforms have been used religiously in that time.
If any admin or staff from BT wants any more information feel free to get in touch. I think i've realised shouting at people and going mad isn't helping us get to the route of the problem either. I just want my internet fixed because I play professionally.

I just wanted to add also that last night around 9pm my internet was going off and on for a few hours. Would someone from BT be able to look into this for me? Hopefully it was due to them testing my line and trying to find some answers out rather than it being faulty.
My line went off and on a few times, albeit around midnight/1am when they implemented my fix. Was probably the same tests

Yeah hopefully its just BT/OpenReach doing tests on our line to find a solution. I just wanted to make sure it was that because if it isn't we may have another problem on our hands or maybe that is part of the problem...

Yes we did this it got better for a couple of hours and now its even worse now .

I've run a few checks on your broadband service and other than the ping the connection is very stable. I've therefore placed an order to make some changes to your profile that should reduce the Ping when you are streaming. This order should complete within 1 working day. @joo1 I was told kinda the same thing but with a little more info I guess.
So here's what my CEO Customer Resolutions Rep told me: There are a few people in this thread that are connected to a certain circuit in the network that had faulty hardware and switching them off that circuit fixed the issues however, he checked if my line was one of the lines in the faulty circuit and he told me it was not so that's probably why it didn't fix the issue.
I've also sent off PingPlotter screenshots to the CEO Customer Resolutions Rep, and he said that he now thinks that it's an issue with traffic shaping and is going to get their technical team to look into it.
Also told him about the fact that I've tried my own router, and applied my own QoS / Load Balancing and that it doesn't help.
He also said that the network Engineers told him that HOP's 6-7 aren't within BT's network but a simple google will show you that they're BT Addresses so that's slightly concerning.
Waiting to hear back from the rep on Monday.
This is all they told me ,but it didn't fix anything .
thanks for your PM. It's an adjustment to the profile that the broadband product team suggested in these cases. The change is to a higher profile than the standard and it is supposed to provide a more stable connection when gaming and streaming at the same time. I'm sorry but I don't have the knowledge or further information to detail exactly what this does. It has worked for some customers and your order is complete now. Have you noticed an improvement in your ping when streaming? If not please can you reboot your router and test and let me know how you get on.
