Receving emails with no sender address

Go to solution

Hi,

I have recently been receiving spam emails with no senders address. I know I can block these so they can go into my spam folder and create rules but this is not solving the problem.

I would really like to add them to my blocked senders list, is there anyway I can find out there email address?

Many thanks

Keith

Have you had a look at the SMTP headers?

There you will see all the details like message ID, source IP, servers paths, etc.

That should show you who originally sent the message.

I am on the BT Mail service as opposed to BT Yahoo mail.

And...

From a good old UI like "thunderbird" simply select the email and then view all headers.

From a web browser UI view the email and click on "actions" then "View Source".

I have no idea how you would do it, or even if possible, from a mobile phone email "app".

Once you know more about the email message you should be able to block it.
