From previous experience if you did manage to get a hh6 and had a problem you would get another hh6 even if BT had brought out a new hub in the meantime

Fine. Should I be eiligible for a smart hub? Should this be expected on a 24 month contract. My online options show same price infinity 2/line rental as I just signed up for, but only 18 month contract and new smart hub included. This is my issue.

I will worry about the rest later. Assuming I now own the HH5, and don’t have to return it, I have that as an option to go back to if the HH6 caused any issues. I really want the better range though!

As per my previous post  "BT don't hand out Smarthubs as a matter of course when you upgrade. You should have haggled it into the deal. It will be very unlikely that they will now give you one because you have now already recontracted".

I’m still well within cooling off period, that’s why I’d like to get it sorted out if possible.

Already phoned, and unless my 5 is faulty, no free hubs are offered, or if I’d have to pay full price for my package to get it. I guess I should have recontracted online (they can’t see these deals, I have to do it myself. Hoped to clarify with supervisor, but didn’t get promised callback.)

 

Gonna stick with my HH5.
