Recording Question

I have the Humax youview box, when I go to the guide and hit on a programme on STV HD which is channel 103 then I hit on the R record button it will say record series or record episode, if I chose to record the series the programme records as it should, but what also records is the STV+1 version so I end up with two recorded versions of the same programme, only difference being first one is HD and the other is SD.

How can I fix this so when a series is recorded only the channel that is selected should be recorded and not the STV+1 SD version?

Re: Recording Question

I don’t think you can. Your BT box does similar stupid things. We often end up with two recordings. We just live with it and delete them.

Re: Recording Question

Thanks.
Do you ever get sound dropouts when viewing LIVE subscription channels, the ones that come via broadband rather than the aerial?

We don’t get any sound problems with our box when watching any programmes.

Re: Recording Question

Contact the broadcaster (STV) and ask them to sort out their use of CRIDs.
