I have just re-negotiated my package (broadband/line/phone) and have got a £5 per month reduction for the next 18 months. I am now wondering if I should have held out for more...…..Is this fairly typical?
You are now in a new contract so as long as you are happy with the reduction does it matter what "might have been".
Good point! I re-negotiated a contract in the summer with a well-known home repair/emergencies company and got >£200 off. Mind you, they were trying it on and have been mentioned in the press several times recently. That made me think that maybe I'm not too bad at negotiating (not been invited to Brussels yet though). It's just that I'm interested to know what others are paying for a similar BT package, that's all.
If you do want to make a comparison you will need to give more details regarding exactly what package you are on, what calling plan and what discount you get from the standard price.
Any discounts given will vary considerably especially if BT are pushing personalised offers in MyBT.
