I moved house and ended my broadband and telephone account with BT on September 28 and am currently renting until I can move into a new house and start up again with BT. I said that I wanted to keep my email account and was told that I would receive an invitation to register for Premium mail in due course. I keep checking...but nothing. Can anyone advise, please?

If you don't mind only using your email account via a web browser and not having access using an email client/app you could use the BTBasic free email rather than paying £7.50 for the premium email.

If you in the future do go back to BT, you should remember to associate your email account with your new BT Broadband package and this will reinstate it to full use and if you decided to have a BT Premium Email account it would stop the fee from being chargeable

In case this applies to anyone else....I'll just add that, over the months of trying to get this sorted, I kept getting the message that my password wasn't strong enough to allow me to proceed. I couldn't understand what was wrong, as I followed the advice given. However, this didn't mention that I wasn't allowed to use symbols like * or @, only letters and numbers.
