Remote problem

How do I control the tv volume with my remote? The walk through on the help page to connect BT TV remotes to tv’s is talking about some different remote to the one I have... the walkthrough says to press the TV and TV AV buttons together... my remote doesn’t have these buttons. Where those buttons are supposed to be on my by vision remote there are TEXT and HELP buttons instead, using them doesn’t work.

Ive searched you tube and can’t find anything.

Please help

Do you still have your Youview user guide as normally that would have the instructions for the remote that was provided at the time  , there have been a few different ones used.

What model YouView do you have?

I can’t tell what model it is, on the back is says the item code is 050590, which I’ve googled and found a thread on another forum trying to identify the different boxes where nobody can find an explanation which is rediculous.

I don’t have any manuals for it either. Whoever managed the marketing for these boxes seems to not really give a toss lol.

Success!!

At first this didn’t work because while it’s the right manual for the box (looks the same), my remote is still different from the one in this manual, it’s a genuine bt vision remote but maybe very old... so I saw on the guide for controlling your tv with the bt vision remote it says to press and hold Vol+ and Mute buttons but it didn’t work... so I tried pressing Vol- and Mute and the rest of the procedure was the same with the same codes even with a new LG tv.

This business frustrated the hell out of me as it just worked with my old tv without doing anything as soon as I plugged it in and I’ve been using it for so many years, now having to juggle with remotes was such a headache!
