Just discovered that BT have placed a default on my credit file for a payment that was made. Spoke with BT and they cannot find a record of the payment despite me sending proof from my bank of the transaction. BT also sold the debt to 2 x collection agencies who I've proven the payment to BT was made however BT still deny the payment was made and the default remains. What should I do next before contacting the ombudsmen please?
