Renewed my contracted for 18 months and speeds drop by 30%

My data rate used to be around 47/10, my BT contract was up so I called up and agreed to the "Superfast Fibre 2 Unlimited" package, it was activated yesterday morning but my data rates have dropped to 32/10.

Here is a screenshot of what I did get at one point (apologies for the poor photo 🙂

What I am getting today:

I did have issues before with data rates being capped, but this thread solved the issue, and I went from 40/2 to 47/10 and I was thrilled -- https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Fibre-broadband/Low-modem-upload-sync-speed/td-p/1910515

Any ideas?

Moving to the new profile has caused a DLM reset. Give it a few days and your speed will return. Don't expect it being any faster than before though.

I hope you didn't pay any more because your line isn't capable of exceeding Fibre 1 speeds.  Once your line has been stable for a few days you should see the downstream SNR drop from 6dB to 3dB usually in 1dB increments as DLM tests for stability as it drops the margin - each 1dB drop will increase your speed slightly.
