Renewing Broadband contract

Not entirely sure this is the right 'board'  - it's just a main type of broadband query.

I want to renew my broadband contract  which is running out. I have tried 4 or 5 times and just get a 'technical error'. Apparently, it's not me, it's BT. I don't want to spend hours on the phone - how can I get round this log jam?

Re: Renewing Broadband contract - BT withdraws offers!!!!

Hi

I did as suggested but could only ring today to be told that the Black Friday Deal I wanted - Halo 2 at £3 less than I am paying now has been withdrawn!! So I have been trying to accept a deal all week, prevented from doing so by BTs incompetence and then when I ring for help prevented by staff intransigence.

I do not call that good service!

you can try again and get a different person and see if they can help

if the offer has been withdrawn which does seem odd but on different to an amazon offer which was available during the week but not now  up to customer to phone at the time

Re: Renewing Broadband contract - BT withdraws offers!!!!

Yes Thank you I might when I have cooled down. But it does seem unfair that an offer labelled 'Black Friday' should be withdrawn before Friday has even ended. And I tried earlier in the week to accept it by chat and that didn't work because the adviser said he couldn't see BF offers on his website. What is going here? BT doesn't seem to think making an offer should in any way actually commit them to provide the service.
