I Just did this test and this is result anyone advise please Im new to thisSmiley Sad

can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1)

 

are you connected to the master or test socket or somewhere else

are you connected to the master or test socket or somewhere else?

 

have you tried the quiet line test  dial 17070 option 2  should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone

 

do you have extension sockets in your home?

I am conected to master and no extentions tryed quiet line but i hear the home hub kick in

are you having connection problems with the hub resetting on it's own or are you resetting the hub in the hope of getting a better connection?

 

have you tried replacing the filter as they do not last forever?

Replaced fillters, not resetting now have a person from BT comming saturday as they say there a fault from pole to house this with other issues been going on from day one
hopefully be all sorted then will let you know

no point trying anything until engineer been on saturday and hopefully fix your connection problem

Ok enginneer called to day was with me about 2 hours cleaned the line no crackling or modem noise and dont have to leave the phone off hook to connect to BB but still a problem he says looks like service restricted he getting reading of 0.5 mb how will i find if service is restricted
