assuming your don't have 1571 then you can extend the ring time before the Answer phone cuts in.

Thank you for the info. I presume that because l use 1571 that the ring tone is set to 6 rings. If l use the answer phone and disconnect the 1571 l should be able to extend the ring.

Correct if you have 1571 or call minder, that will cut in, nothing to do with the phone, but no call minder or 1571 the you can extend the phone past 5 rings.
