Was quite happily sitting at 8.89mbps DL/0.35mbps UL, but ever since 29/04/13 have been dropped to 2.90/2.30mbps down, upload stayed at 0.30mbps,which was adequate but not totally satisfing.
However during the past 2 days i have been dropped to 2.70 (constant) and 0.02mbps upload, which needless to say does not work for anything apart from browsing ( the BT speedchecker says 0.02mbps upload, speedtest.net cannot complete upload test due to it being less than the can and string method), anything requiring packets is unusable, eg online gaming/VOIP.
I live in the Highlands,Scotland, anyone else having the same issue?
Server Status says nothing wrong in the area.BT Fix Connection Problems=Joke, as there is no "BB light is blue but only just" option.
welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods
in order for the forum members to help please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems). when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post the results .
are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

you are on adlsmax and have the max connection speed of 8128. need you to run btspeedtester and when first test completes you need to run diagnostic test and post the results
Download speedachieved during the test was - 2.9 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.6 Mbps-7.15 Mbps.
Your DSL Connection Rate :8.13 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 3 Mbps
your connection time is only 2 min is that due to router resetting or manual reset.
your profile is low at 3mb instead of 7.15mb and is due to your connection dropping to a lower speed during one of the resets.
if you can maintain a stable connection 24/7 with no resets for 3/5 days then your profile should recover automatically
you need to maintain a stable connection for 3/5 days and your IP Profile will rise automatically this will increase your download speed
Was down to me doing a reset. had the same problem since 30/04/13, the above posts were exactly the same from when i checked on 30/04/13,the only reason i am posting today is due to the 0.02-0.14 mbps upload which makes VOIP close to impossible with delays of 15s-45s.
The Router stats and BTW stats are the same now, as they were from 30/04/13 to now, with only 1 thing changing, the amount of time router has been connected.
But regardless i will repost stats on 25/05/13,if no change then i guess it will be back to cut/copy/paste.
the stats will look the same but the problem is your low profile of 3mb. If you keep resetting the hub to try and improve your connection you are only making matters worse. You need to maintain a stable connection 24/7 and it will sort itself out as already posted
Today was the FIRST,1st,Singular reset since 01/05/13,sorry i did not make that any clearer in my previous post, i am going to assume that 20 days outpreforms the 3-5 day "cooling off" period 🙂
