Infinity is VDSL2. It is easy to set up your router. You need to go into the routers management pages and change the settings. It needs to be a PPPoE connection and the username needed is bthomehub@btbroadband.com If it asks for a password you can use anything.
Just connect the WAN port on the Netgear to the modem and then set up as GG says, should be very straightforward.
