Router wireless disconnects

I've been having problems with my laptop disconnecting from the router.  I fix it by disconnecting from wireless then re-connecting and all is fine for a while.  I loaded a piece of software called Vistumbler to see what it reported.  I've attached a link to the graph.

I've run Vistumbler on a separate laptop with the same effect so it is not the NIC.

I've pulled the plug from the router to DSL

I've rebooted the router

Any thoughts?

forgot to say that I have ONE neighbour and their HH is on channel 1. I've tried every channel without success. I'm using 2.4Ghz as my laptop is old.
