Running a WHWF disc from a Hotspot

Go to solution

I have a long thin property and 5 WHWF disks. 4 are blue 1 is orange. I can move the orange lit disk 5 closer to a blue lit disk 4 and it will turn blue but then I don't get the range onwards from the orange lit disk  5. All disks are daisy chained.

Close to disk 5 is a BT Hotspot 1000 using the mains wiring. Can I use an ethernet socket on the hotspot to improve the signal (backhaul) to Disk 5?

Incidently, I have disk 1&2 connected by wifi via the Smart Hub 2 and the signal is of course rock solid and forms a great backbone to the mesh.

I'd appreciate any guidance any of the contributors can offer.

SOLVED. It works so I would recommend anyone who has a similar set up to do what I did ie Connect the last disc with poor signal to the now defunct wifi hotspot to the ethernet connection. Instant Excellent signal
