S620 and Android

Go to solution

Has anyone flashed the trusted s620 with android yet?

I was thinking of getting a secondhand s620 and flashing it so if anyone has done it I would appreciate your views. I will be keeping my existing one as is for VOIP until they issue the BBT apps and then maybe install on the trusty s620.

Hi,

I've had this Linux flavour on my 620 for a few months now.. No need to buy a new 620, because it loads to RAM alongside your WinMobile.

The downside is that the Excalibur version is not fully ready to use and still Beta and semi operable. But give it a go, it wont hurt your 620 setup.

Glyn,
I still have the ROM that came with the phone so do I need to update that first to excalibur and if so can you supply a link to excalibur?

Neil,

Excalibur is the AT&T (I believe) name for the S620, it is also called the Dash.  So no need to update the ROM, except if you are going to Flash 6.5.

Let me know.
