Re: SNR Margin on VDSL compared to SNR MArgin on ADSL

It doesn't look good, wait for the mod and use the contact link they give you. It may take up to 5 days for them to reply to you but well worth the wait.

Re: SNR Margin on VDSL compared to SNR MArgin on ADSL

Here is the drop at 2am this morning which I assume may be DLM related, SNR still erratic

Re: SNR Margin on VDSL compared to SNR MArgin on ADSL

Was downloading this morning. My very erratic SNR dropped significantly while downloading - see pic - is this normal behaviour or another indication that there may be an issue and then started steadily risingCropperCapture[13].jpg

Re: SNR Margin on VDSL compared to SNR MArgin on ADSL

Just noticed that although my VDSL dropped, I do not see this reflected in my software monitoring tool. Sych Speed never dropped. In the HH% log, I see this

(983311.640000) PPP LCP Send Termination Request [User request]

Not a full drop out as such as the SNR, Max Rate or Attenuation show no change and there are a few

PPP LCP Send Configuration Request

PPP LCP Receive Configuration ACK

Starting CHAP authentication with peer

All in the space of about 4 seconds

I take it there has been a re-authentication going on

Is this normal behaviour?

Re: SNR Margin on VDSL compared to SNR MArgin on ADSL

According to the mods this is indicative of a line problem.

Re: SNR Margin on VDSL compared to SNR MArgin on ADSL

Thanks pippincp

Regarding when you asked a mod to assist, I filled the form in as per this request - what is the process now.

Please dont think I am inpatient, its more that I know I havent missed anything and they think its all ok now orr that I aint bothered

Thanks
