SS1 & SS2 for those in Non Infinity Areas

I know this is a BTSport forum but it is relevant to peoples thinking:

Please see this thread:

http://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Vision/Another-question-regarding-Sky-Sports/td-p/863042

Obviously things are on the move at BT.

I wonder if they will let you have this if you are in an infinity enabled area and don't want the infinity upgrade?

Re: SS1 & SS2 for those in Non Infinity Areas

From what I've seen no, it's only offered to existing customers in non-fibre areas that already have Sky sports. This is based on the different letters people have received.

Infinity already got 'we're moving to broadband'
Infinity area, but not installed got 'sign up to infinity'
Non-Infinity high speed got 'we're moving to [copper] broadband'

Simple eh?!

If you can't get or don't want Infinity you can go the freeview route

Im an existing BT Vision customer who has had Sky Sports 1,2 and ESPN continuously since they were first available in July 2010. I am not in an infinity enabled area but wish to keep getting these channels. As yet I have had no communication at all from BT about if they are stopping or I am being moved to get them via adsl broadband.

Hmm I have a 5.8mb broadband speed. What you think my chances of getting offered them via copper adsl are?

If I cant get them anymore I will have to leave BT and move to Sky. I hope it doesnt come to this
