Same postcode but BT won't move my fibre

Hi,

I am about to move to a new house literary 200 metres sharing the same BT exchange. When I spoke with BT about transferring my services they said I can't transfer the fibre as there are no available slots remaining. Surely when I move, then that slot becomes available and I can have it transferred to my new house. Am I missing something or is this simply a service to advanced for BT to sort out?

Anybody got any hints how it can be transferred please?

The slot becomes available and is given to the first person waiting, that is not necessarily you.

 

Bear in mind it is Openreach that allocate the slots to all ISP's and not BT.
