Unfortunately , we have to revisit our household expenditure, and I am now having to look at our BT account .
We have always been with BT, over our 50 years together .
So, we have BT for our phone and broadband ,and particularly BT Vision. My wife feels that we are more than happy with Freeview, (we rarely watch sport ,or any of the other numerous channels that seem to be available ) and our viewing consists primarily just the major channels , BBC, ITV, Channel 4.
We like to record programmes to watch later and that's about it.
So my question is, as a total non techy type person , can I ask BT to switch off Vision and just use the box for Freeview , basically as we do at present ? I hope this makes sense.
Thanks or your patience with me/us.

Thanks, so do I just call BT and say 'no more BT TV thankyou '?
You could (simply) phone 0800 800 150 say Cancel TV and speak to the operator and cease your BT TV contract.
However it could be worth ringing Customer Options on 0800 800 030 to see if they can offer a better price for your broadband/call package .. they should also be able to cease your BT TV if that is what you want.
