Search Function on new email

Hi

I'm not liking the search function on the new email system.

I now cannot search by sender/recipient without entering their whole email address, it does not recognise these as I begin to type.  There is no longer a search option icon next to the email title in the inbox and I cannot permanently get rid of the date option !!!

I loved the old system, I could open various emails at the same time, I can no longer do this.

And mostly when I search I get an error message.

This is so frustrating, come on BT sort it out !!

Any tips or advise would be greatly received, thank you

Re: Search Function on new email

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, don't use webmail, use a mail client such as Thunderbird.

Re: Search Function on new email

Of course you can, its just the same as an app on a phone. You can still use webmail as well if you want to.

Re: Search Function on new email

Enable the menu bar if it is not already enabled, click on 'View' and untick 'Message Pane' in 'Layout'. You can play with the layout settings to get a layout that suits you.

Re: Search Function on new email

With the message pane enabled, you can view a mail in that pane by single clicking or with it removed you have to double click on a mail to open it in another tab. The Info is only displayed when you first open Thunderbird, once you click on a mail it is replaced by that mail.
