Seeing wrong details on myBT

Go to solution

Hi all,

I'm sorry if this is the wrong bit! I've recently moved home and ordered a new package of broadband for BT. I didn't bother to move the old package along with me as my brother still needed it there.

Now I'm stuck with an issue in that when I open MyBT on the app or website, it's not showing my new purchase at all, it's only showing the old one via my details.

Is there any way to have this changed over? I don't need to see old details anymore as my brother can handle that and I need to see the new package.

Cheers

Jack

you cannot transfer your account to your brother  you should have set up a home move for existing account and let your brother set up a new account as new BT customer

"Should have" doesn't really help my position but thank you for the reply.

Again, I now have two BT broadband packages under my name with both under the same ID however I can only see the first, I need a way around that.

You need to talk to BT to resolve the error. As far as BT are concerned  you have 2 accounts, you haven't informed them of anything different. If you intend to keep both accounts yourself, you will need to set up another BTID for the sewcond account.

Called BT myself in the end and I've been told it's fine to have both broadband packages on the same ID, the second will be made available to see on my account alongside the older one once it's been set up apparently. No second BT ID necessary.
