I recently upgraded to outlook 2013 which when using the auto setup, it recognises the BT email account as an IMAP account. That's fine. However, I noticed that when I send emails, they just disappear! The recipient receives the email fine, but it's not in my sent or sent items folders. checked online too and nothing, this is extremely worrying as I have no record of out going emails.
Thanks for the links. I had a read through and it would seem that apart from the constants in outlook, ie. checking the 'save sent emails' tick box etc, a lot depends on the settings your service provider gives for your email account. In the case of BT, the controls are extremely light.
However, I 'rooted' the mail box and then removed the rooting, this re-created the folder list from the mail server and so far, touch wood, this seems to have worked.
