Sent me Hub but no landline

Hi,

Just wondering, the BT service sent me the hub. When the engineer called he asked if i had the phone sent to me yet but i haven’t. I got the hub over a week ago? Is this something i need to buy on its own?

What sort of broadband connection do you have, it it a direct fibre into your house, with a box on the wall with lots of lights on it?

Could the phone that you are waiting for, be one of the new digital voice phones?

All i know is that they’ve sent me the BT smart hub, i’ve never had wi-fi before (as only just moved out) so i needed an engineer to install the landline. But that’s only as far as what i know. Thanks

Normally you would use your own phone, unless you have purchased on from BT.

When is your broadband due to be activated?

BT would not normally supply you with a phone, unless you had placed an order for one. Normally you would buy your own, A basic wired phone costs about £10.

If you are not fussed about anything special, then Argos inside Sainsbury, do a basic corded phones, or you can look online.

If you want a cordless one, then they cost a bit more.
