Re: Shame to see you're leaving DS

This may seem like a silly question and obviously you will have your reasons but why all the drama about whether or not you use this forum. You have slagged it off and some of people who use it, you have a signature that says you are leaving and its no longer fun just a ratings war so why don't you just stop using it if your not happy?

A silly question - Could be, but may be not.

Reasons - The main reason was for letting my friends know I'm offski, but then again most of those got peed off and quit way before me. Another reason was to let THEM know why, should they have read any of my recent contributions to these forums. And another reason was for all those that have PM'd me in the past as they didn't want to post on an open forum.

Why the drama - Just building up the tension before I ask for a star too!:P

Not for an helpful answer, just "an answer";) - FCS take that in a good way.

Slagged off - your words not mine or my intention - anyway, nah, not me, just my own personal and honest opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

Signature - My current signature is only a temporary one..... But I did read the following guildelines before writing it

Giving recognition for help
If someone has helped you with your query, it’s nice to say thanks to recognise the help they have given you.  This can be done on our forum by clicking on the “Rate this post” button.

Disrespecting other people
We want people to feel comfortable about posting their questions and answers on the forums. Angry rants or 'flames' don't help achieve this and the moderators will delete them. Please don't post inflammatory messages designed to foster arguments (this is also known as 'trolling'). If you see any of these please don't respond as this will make the situation worse: report the post to a moderator using the ‘Report abuse to a moderator’ option available on each post

‘Gaming the system’
Don't post messages solely for the purpose of gaining community points or soliciting others for points. Any behaviour like this could result in you being banned from the forum.

Can a signature be classed as a message.......?

Signatures
Keep your signatures short.  You may sign your posts with information about yourself, which may include things like a quote from a favourite author, for example.

Please remember that the other community forums terms of use and guidelines apply to signatures as well.  Please take specific note that signatures should not include any of the following inappropriate content: Profanity; material that is libellous, fraudulent, unlawful, defamatory, pornographic, obscene, profane, abusive, offensive, threatening, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.

The BTCare Community moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any signatures we deem inappropriate for the forum.  Signatures are a privilege and violations of the guidelines outlined here can result in this privilege being revoked.

Re: Shame to see you're leaving DS

Daz, the bottom of this post will confirm that I don't agree with everything you've been saying about the forum and its contributors, but we're all entitled to our opinions. The fact is though that you withdrew from the forum for 4 months last year, after making it clear then that you weren't happy with it if i remember rightly. You were obviously missed but nobody died as a result. Then you returned a couple of months ago - generally helpfully, but missing no opportunity for a dig at the forum generally and some unnamed contributors in particular. I hope you'll forgive me for thinking that looks less like a bye bye to old friends and more of a scorched earth policy.

Re: Shame to see you're leaving DS

Indeed we are Alan, indeed we are.

It's good that you don't agree, as many others won't either. IF we were all singing from the shame sheet, what would the world be like....:|

Last year was also on health grounds:(, but hey ho and yep this forum did me head in then. I thought I'd try this one last time, not that a good friend talked me round too of course.

I wouldn't say I was missed then, as I know I won't be now either. Give a few hours and it'll be "DS who?":p

I did think I was more then generally helpful, probably a good decision to quit if that's how I was thought of. AFAIK the only "digging" was towards the end, mainly explaining the reasons for me moving on. Is not better to be honest rather than give a BS excuse, or walk away without a bye. I would do this with any friends that I have on or off the forum.

Nobody had to read any of my posts and if you wish to complain to the admin, I'm sure they'll take them down. It makes no odds to me.

I have no need to forgive you for anything, as I can see nothing wrong with your post.

Maybe I shouldn't of said anything, but it's a bit late for that now. I didn't start these threads off nor did I ask others to do so.

Anyway, I didn't actually mean to offend anyone in particular, just said how I thought it was. I was going to make a final farewell post (already written in prep'), with a sorry for this, that and the other, with a hug and a kiss for my friends, but having read my recent posts and the replies, I guess there's no point now as I've probably p*ssed everyone off.

@Ian, more than likely down to me, but 100% agree with ya;)
