Shetland - loss of Broadband

Hi all

Barely able to log in here - been a while since I needed too

Anyway - seems like something big has happened to a lot of peoples connects today/tonight - lot of folk I know (with BT and with other providers are either very slow or cut off completely)

Thing is - I went to the "check your phone line" section and put in my number and it says everything is fine - no problems - your exchange is tippity top

Well on other forums there is talk of major damage to a undersea cable

So can anyone on here find out which one is correct and give me/us some sort of idea as what is wrong and when it will be likely fixed

it does appear there is a undersea fibre cable fault which is being worked on at this time no time scale to fix is known

Yeah -other reports coming in say the same - fibre fault near Orkney

Only just able to log in now - running at about 0.28 kbps

Thanks for info - will see how it goes I guess - least we still have the phone - loads of folk I know have lost that as well!
