Hey guys, should my ping be this high?
http://www.speedtest.net/result/2030212356.png
It can go up to as much as 38 to maybe 42ms sometimes, particularly in the evenings.
Thoughts?
Here they are 🙂

MadGamer1988,
Those ping are not too bad as the 28ms average is to and from the server,so your one way ping is about 14ms average.
For gaming,as long as you have a stable connection and do not get discoed it looks fine.
But I quess a ping below 15ms would be better.
It can also depend on distance to the server [game server] as about 104ms round trip to a US server would be ok as long as you stay connected.
I run game servers and some of the guys joining it sometimes show pings of about 150ms but as others on the server can also get quite high pings,it evens it`s self out as long as they all stay connected.
Obviously ping is important, but packet loss is what you don`t want. And you are not losing packets.
I guess mileage may vary. My pings are pretty low by comparison.
I'm Wired to my HomeHub not Wireless BTW.
