Signal to noise ratio

Hello all,

I got infinity installed yesterday having few problems when I play online games on my laptop I'm randomly getting disconnected. Someone suggested to me it may be the signal to noise ratio which I'm supposed to be able to find in the modem setting I cannot find this. I can play on ps3 live fine its just the laptop both laptop and ps3 our wireless don't know why

Re: Signal to noise ratio

I think you have to give it a few days maybe around 10-14 for the connection to settle. Mine was installed on Tuesday and whilst the speed has been very good I've also had random disconnections now and then.

Re: Signal to noise ratio

It won't be anything to do with the noise margin and even if it was you couldn't do anything about it as it isn't a setting it is just a measurement.

Re: Signal to noise ratio

Just to add to what Mister_C has posted, there is no training, settling in or any other type of bedding in period you care to mention with FTTC connections
