If I understand correctly from Sky's own communication
Sky Showcase will be Sky’s flagship channel, replacing the Sky One brand at 106 on the ( SKY platform) electronic programme guide, and it will feature a selection of programmes from across Sky’s portfolio of channels – airing content from Sky Witness, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky Nature, Sky Arts, Sky Max, Sky Comedy, Sky History, Sky Kids, SyFy and E!. It will also air selected highlights from Sky Cinema and Sky Sports.
and Sky Max (Sky platform) EPG slot 113.
According to Sky's own news release
They will also launch on streaming service NOW and on Virgin and BT.
So impact on BTTV would be welcome .
eg access to existing recordings on Sky 1 when the channel is retired
impact on series recordings scheduled on Sky 1 on BT Tv boxes
which channel nos will Sky Showcase and Sky Max be on BT TV EPG and which NOW memberships and hence BT TV packs are the channels inluded in ?
well is this happening next week ?
If so when will accurate EPG entries be established on BT TV [Youview) guides ?
I also believe there needs to be clarification as to whether other channels will be renumbered in particular Sky Comedy on BT TV.
Impacts on recordings including those for series recordings set for programming on current Sky One really needs to be clarified.

This page details what will happen with recordings and series link. I got a message on my box today detailing what channel numbers the new channels will have.
I don't believe that the on screen message addressed changes to Sky Comedy as the listed channel numbers for Sky Max seems to be those in use for Sky Comedy currently.
So 1st Sept and the 2 new channels haven't appeared and Sky One is still showing, how long will it take for these new channels to appear? I would have thought they would of been added overnight
Some are posting over on an other forum that from 10am the new channels will start.
I will see when I get back in as I will be away to work by then.
Darren
According to this article it should happen at 6am this morning with some channel changes as well.

They appeared on VirginMedia overnight - but it is now 8am and they have NOT appeared on Sky yet.
The changes normally take place between 10am-12pm.
