Re: Sky sports rebrand

Given that BT have said that only Premier League matches will appear on Sky Sports Extra (when not on Main Event), why does the advertising at https://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/options/ say:

Feast yourself on sport. Get Sky Sports Main Event for Premier League and Scottish Premier League action, and Sky Sports Extra for extensive cricket, European Rugby Champions Cup and NFL coverage.

Which puts it back to the original price for HD, but were still down on content. Could be a sneaky way of doing it....

I don't think it has- the advertising is simply displaying the previous SD & HD prices for Sky Sports 1 & 2, because the price rise doesn't take effect until 20/8/17? ; and the advertising for Sky Sports Main Event & Sky Sports Extra is displaying descriptions for the defunct channels, Sky Sports 1 & Sky Sports 2?

Re: Sky sports rebrand

Afraid you're wrong @jam2000. When I log into MyBT and go to 'upgrade tv package' the information remains the same as before "From 20th August the price for this service will be £33.50 a month" under the Sky hd pack and "From 20th August the price for this service will be £27.50 a month" under the sd pack. Nothing has changed pricing wise and clearly isn't changing.

My subscription stays cancelled. I'm more miffed by the lack of content than the price hike..

It was reported earlier by Seenit, but appears to have gone from their website

Re: Sky sports rebrand

As football is my sport of choice I have to admit I'm tempted to sign up. You'll probably think I've gone mad. Only thing is with so many people cancelling it probably won't be long before it disappears off this platform altogether. I have no interest in signing up via Sky Q as it then becomes even more expensive. Too happy with BT TV to ditch it either.

Thanks @jam2000 .

The Google cache of the article is at:

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:0kWPZL8vYa0J:http://www.seenit.co.uk/bt-tv-drop...

On the face of it, it appears that the author didn't realise that the new price wasn't effective until 20/8/17; then checked the BT Consumer Price Guide, which confirmed the old price, because the new price doesn't yet apply!

It looks like it was an error that's been corrected by taking the article down.
