Re: Slow Broadband Speed.

Download speedachieved during the test was - 4324 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :6080 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 5000 Kbps

Now that it's past midnight by internet seems to have sped up, any reasons for this?

Re: Slow Broadband Speed.

Hi as I suspected your speed has increased as you came out of peak time we need more tests over the next 24 hours then you can get the mods involved with the problem the more evidence they have the easier they can get the problem resolved

Re: Slow Broadband Speed.

It is not the problem with the line that will be
a mulit pair cable that is designed to do To have have the cable renewed if Openreach would change you would need to order a completely new line at 130.00 and there is every chance that he would users spare pair in the same cable so unlessthe line is not working at all there is no point the problem is not at your end this is why we are asking for more Bt speed tests as the problem is more likely exchange based

Re: Slow Broadband Speed.

Another speed test from just now:

Download speedachieved during the test was - 3980 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :6080 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 5000 Kbps

Speed seems ok at the moment, I'll take another if it seems to drop again.

Could it really be the exchange if other rooms on the same 'line' from the telephone pole aren't having the same problem though?

Re: Slow Broadband Speed.

you would need to get the others to run btspeedtester at the same time as yours when the problems are on your connection.  congestion would normally affect everyone
