Slow Broadband Speed

If anyone can help...

I have been suffering slow speeds (0.13 down and 0.28 up) for a week and a half.

Tried all the tests and an engineer visited. He replaced the line box and got the exchange to reset something.

Nothing has improved and the engineer is coming back, but I thought I would share this before the next visit.

you currently have a 3.8mb connection speed but your noise margin at 10 is higher than normal 6.

 

can your run btspeedtester not beta and post the results

Ran it and it came back with 102 kbps but then it mentions error getting additional info and so can't verify if speed is acceptable for he service.

I was looking for you to post the results as not only does it show download speed but just as important it shows your current profile.  your profile determines your download speed and this is only checker that will show your profile

It only returned the best effort test 1

if you ran the standard test 1 at btspeedtester then you need to wait 1 hr before you can run the test again

I have tried re-running that test before and it always comes up with just the first result and nothing more.

if you use the link http://www.speedtester.bt.com/   you should just tick yes the click adsl and FTTC - next page enter phone number no service id required and then go, confirm phone number and test 1 should run

Sorry I don't get anything more than the speed I mentioned in the previous post. I tried this test many times in the last 2 weeks and it has never produced anything more than that.
