Bit of a weird one but I've been experiencing slow broadband speeds at veriying times. The BT speed checker says that my download speed is: 5.34 DOWN, 0.35 UP, 40.50 Ping which is fine. I'm happy with that but if i use an independendant speed checker site such as testmy.net i only get 1.06 DOWN, 0.27 UP.
Through the day i get a download speed of about 5.2 Mbps which is awesome for the line. During the evening this drop to about 1 Mbs for no reason. I've tried everything that I can think of. For example I've switched out wires, changed routers, plugged into the test socked, disconnected all other devices ect but nothing seems to improve it or fix the issue. I've phoned BT they have advised myself to disable the firewall and the Extended UPnP secrity which i have done. They told me to leave this over the next couple of days to see if it will improve.
I was wondering if anyone on the fourms have ever come accross anything like this before? Any suggestions would be a huge help as its getting rather frustrating atm.

There was a previous fault on the line but this was fixed but left open due to the slow speeds during the evening. I've just looked into the fault page and its changed since last time. It now shows the below;
