You are suffering from exchange congestion i suggest you contact the forum mods at this link http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/4951 and ask if they could sort this issue for you they normally respond within 72hours and are very good at getting these sorts of issues sorted they reply directly to you by email or phone they are UK based specialists

same problems here.

I have a sync at 8128Kbps.

Download speeds around 550Kbps this evening..

It's fine during the day.

I'm in a small village with it's own exchange - I doubt you all live there to so this is an issue higher in BT's network.

I'd guess an MSIL congestion issue?

I think we route through Reading/Slough from here.

 

Certainly a BT problem though... about time they admitted something is wrong and told us how long it's going to take to fix.

Hi exchange congestion is an ongoing problem BT Wholesale areconstantly upgrading the exchanges and network and congested exchanges are regularly updated to increase capacity the problem affects all ISPs not just BT
