Just one point. I don't think the DLM will have increased the noise margin from 4 to 5 during a connection duration. I think the DLM just sets a target that is only used at initial connection sync time (which you had told the modem to ignore anyway).

I Think you are right. The line didn't reset and I think I am seeing the difference between the night and day SNR. So I will manually change the SNR to 5 and see how that goes.

Re: Slow Internet - mods please assist.

The more you keep tweaking the noise margin the more resets you have the longer it takes for the DLM to see a stable connection

Re: Slow Internet - mods please assist.

Well after two days of a faster connection the line has been rebanded and we have gone from an IP Profile of 2.71Mbps to 1.71Mbps as shown on the BT Wholesale Speedtest. I guess the DLM thought there were two many errors on the line and has throttled it back massively.

Stats after one day up. no idea where to go from here. May go back to Home Hub 5.................

Re: Slow Internet - mods please assist.

looks like changing noise margin to 5db was not high enough for the noise on the line and DLM has increased that and set interleaved to max

The target SNR was changed to 6dB a day before this happened.

Back to square one.............
