What are your current ADSL stats, as I think I can see what the problem is?

Re: Slow, Slow, Quick, Slow

I can see the problem, you need to get your latency set to interleaved and not fast, its the CRC errors that are causing the slowdown, assuming that you are still connected to the "test" socket on the master socket.

If you would like to contact one of the UK based BT Care Team who moderate this forum, they will be able to lock it to interleaved.

They can be contacted using this link BT Care Team

They normally respond by phone or e-mail, within three working days, however you should get an immediate confirmation, with a tracking number.

Please keep the home hub plugged into the "test" socket, as that should eliminate any problems within your own wiring.

Wow, got to say I'm impressed, less than 2 hours after emailing them from the advice receieved on here the problem is fixed.  It was the latency as suggested.  Massive thank you to everyone who helped and a big thanks to the BT Care Team who acted so promptly.

It is quite easy for them to do and can be dealt with quickly as a few of them have access to the correct software tool.

When the change has taken place, your latency should show "Interleaved". You will see FEC events, but they are quite normal, and are correcting line errors. They do not affect your thoughput.

I am pleased that the were able to help quickly Smiley Happy
