Slow Speeds During the Day

Morning,

Not sure if anyone can assist but I’ve noticed recently that my broadband speed drops significantly during the day - mainly between 9AM & 7PM.

I did a speed test purposefully at 7AM this morning and achieved nearly 67Mbps download speed.

Come the time for me to log on for work and it has dropped down to 16Mbps if I’m lucky and even lower at some points.

If I’m achieving the higher speed then would this indicate that the BB is working correctly? Or could there still be a potential technical issue with it?

Just seems odd that it seems to fine outside of these hours and then reduced during working hours.

Ive tried re-setting the router several times but the issue is still the same.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

 please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if  HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information . 

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

run btspeedtester and post results  must be done with ethernet connection

is it possible there is some backup running?

you need to avoid constant hub resets otherwise DLM will see line unstable and take action

Other than my SKY Box and Hive, I don’t actually have any devices that can connect to an Ethernet cable (my laptop doesn’t have a port). Other info below;

stats look ok

the problem must be with your wireless connection if you cannot connect any devices using ethernet

I would split the 2.4/5ghz networks and also select the wireless channels manually rather than automatic.  I would get a wifi analyser on my phone and then check for networks about you and channels in use then select a free or less congested channel
