Ok, so I took your advice. I've now swapped out the microfilter with a new ADSL nation XF-1e, tried new cables just in case any of them were damaged and also replaced my phones (my previous ones were pretty old anyway).

 

I've been connected to the test socket just in case my extensions are at fault, which doesn't seem to have made a difference. Still have one phone base station connected to the microfilter, but disconnecting it doesn't seem to help either.

 

My connection dropped for around 4 minutes at 9.30 this morning (the phones weren't in use), dropped three times between 7.22 and 7.30, once a little past midnight and five times between 21.30 and 22.30 last night. Some of the drops seem to last for minutes, most just reconnect straight away.

Thanks, I've just submitted an email via the contact us section. Also tried contacting BT customer support via phone.

 

Arranged a callback for today, was called by someone who told me "the connection appears to have been stable for the last 24 hours. Lol, not quite sure what their idea of stable is.

 

Apparently they'll monitor it again another 48 hours, and arrange yet another call back. I think their exact words were "now you're connected to the test socket". After telling them I've been connected to the test socket for over a week Smiley Very Happy

just leave it to the forum mods now as contacting the help line will now only cause confusion

I agree in that I would leave the mods to deal with it and avoid CS now
