Slow and Flakey BB

Go to solution

Hi Community,

I am getting very sporadic service, I've logged a fault with BT and gone through the speed tester bits. At times it was too slow to even upload the result. Here are my stats.

I don't have a test socket in the house, nor a standard open reach faceplate.  These stats are when the router is plugged into the socket directly backing onto the entry point of the house.

ADSL Line Status

Connection information
Line state:Connected
Connection time:2 days, 19:58:02
Downstream:5,792 Kbps
Upstream:448 Kbps

  ADSL settings

VPI/VCI:0/38
Type:PPPoA
Modulation:G.992.1 Annex A
Latency type:Interleaved
Noise margin (Down/Up):6.3 dB / 16.0 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up):51.5 dB / 31.5 dB
Output power (Down/Up):20.1 dBm / 12.6 dBm
FEC Events (Down/Up):152909420 / 187
CRC Events (Down/Up):509738 / 90
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote):0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote):0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote):0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote):0
HEC Errors (Down/Up):477653 / 55
Error Seconds (Local/Remote):0 / 0

the ideal is getting a signal good enough to support facetime

thanks for any help rendered in advance.

hi your connection speed is ok there is nothing wrong with it in fact the connection speed is faster than would be expected for your line attenuation a line with your attenuation would normally connect at around 4.6mb and you are connecting at nearly 5.8mb your connection time also shows a stable connecton time
