Re: Slow broadband on the Smallbrook exchange.

Just to contribute to this thread, my results:

Download speedachieved during the test was - 454 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :7136 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 6000 Kbps

And it's been like this for the past 3 months, it's time BT fixes this pile of **** because it's gone on for too long.

The line has not been fixed, not once in the past 3 months have I had a consistently stable and fast line, not once.

Now I've been told by the 'BT Special Team' that a new MUX would be installed/implemented on the Smallbrook exchange, if this does not happen or is deemed 'not needed' I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Re: Slow broadband on the Smallbrook exchange.

I've been told the end of Nov is the fix date. The mods have emailed me back and proved of no help until the line is finished being played around with. Still no iplayer, general smooth surfing or video calling. Thanks BT, your absolutely S****. In addition, all these c**** surveys you keep giving me to do on the phone are useless if your not going to act on the comments.

Service: 1/5 (3ish months of unstable broadband)

Indian Call Centre: 1/5 (Not the fault of the staff, but they are clearly script reading)

Value for money in the centre of Birmingham...: 1/5 (2 exchanges nearby have cable and LLU services FFS)

I'm sorry for the rant guys, but I'm clearly not happy with the length of time this has gone on...

Re: Slow broadband on the Smallbrook exchange.

30th of November is what I was told. At least we can hope it is fixed by then.

Like the rest of you guys. The service from BT is worst I have ever received from any company... (And I've had a TV from Samsung break 4 times with the same fault).

I am in complete agreement with Thierry121. No iPlayer, no youtube, no PSN, no Sky Sports Mobile TV. The service is a complete farce.

I would strongly discourage everyone to stay clear of BT (if you can). It's been two months and week to the day since I reported the fault with no improvement whatsoever.

BT you're a disgrace.

Re: Slow broadband on the Smallbrook exchange.

After 26 days, my broadband fault has been "resolved". *phew* speeds of 300-400kbps have risen to 3-3.5mb - yippee...and compensation received from billing department - not much, but fingers crossed my broadband will stay at current speeds. Hope other people's issues get fixed soon....

Re: Slow broadband on the Smallbrook exchange.

Speedtest shows 0.39mb now. No speed increase here.

I rang BT India earlier who told me that my case had been closed. Great...

He also did a line test and now there is a fault on the line. He's going to get the "special team" to call me back.

Shame I've heard it all before.

Re: Slow broadband on the Smallbrook exchange.

Hahahaha, same here, BT said they are still working on it. Same S*** different person... I'm glad it's worked for some people, but if my line isn't working to capacity please stop adding more lines to the exchange you bunch of thieving W******! If BT don't sort their s*** out I'm just gonna leave them simple as that, I'd rather pay the extra premium next time to get the service along with the broadband.

Re: Slow broadband on the Smallbrook exchange.

I'm getting 0.76Mb/s at 17:24 via speedtest.net

Can't get the BT Speedtester to run at the moment.

No improvement
