Hi all,
For the past week I've been having very slow speeds (well, my max has been 3MB so guess that's slow anyway :P) on my broadband, currently it's down to 1Mb/s.
I'm plugged into the test socket of master socket, changed my dsl cable and tried 2 routers.
Done a speedtest and here are results
Downstream Test:
-provides background information.
Download Speed | |
0.87 Mbps |
0 Mbps | 1 Mbps Max Achievable Speed |
Download speed achieved during the test was - 0.87 Mbps For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-1 Mbps. IP Profile for your line is - 1.01 Mbps |
2. Upstream Test:
-provides background information.
Upload Speed | |
0.81 Mbps |
0 Mbps | 0.83 Mbps Max Achievable Speed |
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.81Mbps Additional Information: Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.83 Mbps |
Here are my router stats

Meant to add, how do I go about getting a profile reset? I ran through the troubleshooter but it doesn't do much once I tell it I'm not running BT hub hardware.
Thanks
Your stats don't show internet connection time but from your connection speed have you been having problems with router dropping connection or manual resets trying to get improved speed or maybe both
your profile is based on your connection speed so to get a higher profile you need a faster speed. If you maintain a stable connection then DLM should improve your connection speed which in turn will increase your profile and give an increased download speed. Could take 7/10 days stable maybe sooner
Is there no way someone can just reset the profile? It's down to syncing at 570k now since the line disconnected a few times in the storm. Seems ridiculous that because of that I have to wait 7-10 days for it to come back up.
any reset will be pointless if you are still suffering disconnections as you would be back to where you are in no time
It's now been synced at 284k for a week, how do I actually go about getting this reset, it's ridiculous now.

Is there any noise on your phone calls? Dial 17070 and select option 2, there should be no noise between the announcements.
can you repost router stats including dsl connection time
i there,
I've had a problem with my speed for about 3 weeks now, it's still only synching at 1.2MB whereas it normally syncs at ~2.5-3mb, how do I go about just getting my profile reset please.
And yes, line was stable for about a week with no drops etc. etc.
Just want a profile reset please.
Thanks
