Slow broadband speed / Low IP profile.

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone can see anything wrong with my ADSL stats.

I havent experienced any disconnections but for the last few days my IP profile has remained on 0.75 Mb when I would expect it to be around the 4.5Mb range.

The connection time showing on the stats is due to my resetting the home hub.

I have done a quiet line test and cannot hear any noise on the line and I have not made any wiring or other alterations to my setup.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Slow broadband speed / Low IP profile.

stats look ok  You need to reamin connected 24/7 for 3/5 days and your profile will correct itself automatically - resets are the worst thing you can do for your conenction

on current connection speed I would expect profile of 5000

Re: Slow broadband speed / Low IP profile.

Your connection is a typical Max connection running with a 9db imposed margin, allbeit a tad less.

And it is well within normal ADSL operating parameters for BT's quality platform for the ADSLmax product.

However if you could get it down to target margin (6db) technically it could give IP 5500kbps.

Would entail some effort maybe at home, but not always feasible.

Your IP profile will come up after 72 full hours of line connection, so clearly ... no resets,

otherwise you'll have to wait another 72.
