Re: Slow download, questions about BT Wholesale speed tester.

Can you remove the faceplate from the master socket, connect a phone with a filter and dial 17070 to carry ou the quiet line test please.

If there's no noise, please connect the router to the filter in the test socket, run the above test again and post up the hub stats from the test socket.

Re: Slow download, questions about BT Wholesale speed tester.

Should I pack this in and just wait for the engineer next week?

Re: Slow download, questions about BT Wholesale speed tester.

The BT Wholesale check keeps flipping from max potential speeds of around 60mbs (see above) and 31mbs as below.

Re: Slow download, questions about BT Wholesale speed tester.

You have a fault somewhere causing your sync speed to vary wildly. Is it still in the test socket?

Re: Slow download, questions about BT Wholesale speed tester.

You really need to connect to the test socket and leave it there for a week, to see if the connection varies. If it does, the problem is external. If it doesn't the issue is your home wiring.

When you last connected to the test socket, the connection rate almost doubled.
