The sync speed your router reports is an entirely different thing to download speed. Sync speed is the speed of the physical link between your router and the DSLAM in the green cabinet. Download speed is the speed of the network to whichever server/speedtest site you are connected to.
Ok so 7:50am and still getting slow speeds...
Router still shows sync'd at the full 55000 down and 9999 up.
IP profile on BT test shows 53.18Mbps but clearly not achieving.
Seems to be sporadic at this time of morning, just re-run and got my full 52/9Mb there enough.
Thank you for replying. I had a look but can't see any known issues for that exchange.
I understand that you have reported a fault through to BT and are due a call back tomorrow. Let me know how you get on with that call tomorrow and if needed, I'll be able to take a look at what is happening with your fault.
Absolute joke, come the evening and back to 3Mb speeds.
IP profile still clearly shows I should be achieving approx 53Mb.
YouTube videos constantly buffer, all it's good for is browsing if I'm lucky. Web pages timing out again.
