Hello, I believe I am facing a congestion issue and would appreciate some assistance.
The pattern is pretty clear the speed goes down in the evenings and sometimes during the weekends and works absolutely fine during the day when I get the expected 50mbs.
Responses to the common questions asked on these forums:
1. Unplud and Reset the HUB? - Check
2. Factory Reset? - Check
3. Wired or wireless? - Both. During the wired/ethernet test I have switched off Wifi broadcast to ensure there is only device connected to the router.
4. Have you tested your speeds through BT - Yes, speed checker, BT wholesale, speedtest.net - pretty much the same result
5. Yes, I connected to the master socket, the same one that the engineer who came to install the broadband put in.
Further diagnostics from BT wholesale below:
And the routes stats
as well as BT BROADBAND AVAILABILITY CHECKER

@userbvt2014 I'm sorry about the issues with your broadband speed at peak times, this sounds like it could be a congestion issue on the network. What exchange are you on?
Exchange LOWER HOLLOWAY is served by Cabinet 36
@userbvt2014 I can see there is a reported congestion issue with one of the SVLAN's in Lower Holloway. Please use the 'click here to contact the mods' link in my forum profile to send in your details and we'll be able to look into this further for you. You can find the link by clicking on my username.
Thanks
Neil
Yep, submitted an enquiry.
Thank you.
@userbvt2014 Thanks for that. We'll raise this with BT Wholesale and get back to you when we now more.
Hi @userbvt2014 your connection was moved to a less congested SVLAN yesterday afternoon, can you post back to let me know if you notice an improvement with your connection speed?
Thank you Neil! I will keep checking for another couple of days. But it has been pretty this evening.
@userbvt2014 great that's what I was hoping for. I called there but missed you but I'll follow up with you next week.
