We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
For the 2 years I've lived in this house my connection has synced at the full 79mb of Infinity 2 and the HH5 has always been plugged into an extension socket.
I wanted to move the extension socket somewhere else so picked up some CW1308 cable and moved it.
When I fired up the HH5 it synced at just 31mb and the noise margin is at 6.5 which tells me that's the best it could get.
What did I do wrong? I am running the CW1308 very close to electrical cable, could this be interfering? Would cat5e be a better choice for the extension?
Solved! Go to Solution.
i suspect it's interference from the mains electrical cable it's running alongside
Is there a more suitable extension cable I could use instead?
Re-routed the cable away from the mains electrics and we are back in business, thanks for your help Webby
