I used to get a fairly good solid 7.5 to 8 Mb/s on ADSL. The SNR margin was reported at 6 dB.
Last weekend there were very bad thunderstorms here, wich caused some instability. Now I am getting under 5 Mb/s. I notice the SNR margin has increased to 12 dB.
Will BT's systems reduce the SNR margin automatically and restore better performance, that the line, is capable of, or do I need to find out if I can get the line reset?

if your connection is now stable then the noise margin will start to reduce down to normal 6db with corresponding increases in connection speed this should be automatic
It's now around 12 days with a stable connection since the bad strosm caused SN margin to increase to 12 dB, before that it was stable for months at 6 dB.
DLM is very quick to slow lines down but very slow to improve them again. Would it be possible to get a DLM reset please?
