Slower, usability

Hi All

This board is the same as the business one, slow but what i liked most about the res forum was you were able to see all new posts now you need to go into each section and see and this is time consuming and more of a pain, any chance this can be added :smileywink:

also when i mark the topics as read it still shows on the main screen as same amount of unread posts 😞

Re: Slower, usability

This is my first post to the forums so HELLO!

I have not noticed the speed yet compared to previous forum but seems ok with me.

Will have to navigate further

At the mo I've got the the normal forum window open and since seeing Kerry's link that one also.

Keep refreshing both.

Re: Slower, usability

Thats why I suggested there should be a clickable button/link to view your own posts or new posts.

Re: Slower, usability

Hi mr_chuck,

If you want to view your posts, go to the top right of the forum and click on your name (next to the PM section). Once in your profile, you'll see at the top a list of all your latest posts. Click on "View all" to see them all.

Re: Slower, usability

Yea cool with that one, thanks kerry.

How about instead of a link for viewing new/recent posts being stickied to the top of a section could you not have a button on the main page which would do the same job?

Re: Slower, usability

From using the forums on a few different machines I've noticed that the ratings seem to be last to load and often force a page refresh.

Slow performance on IE6 at work via a proxy but on a very high speed connection

Great performance at home on latest FF build on a 4M ADSL connection (the home PC also has a great deal more computing power)
